Hale Education Group is proud to announce a new initiative for high achieving high school students who wish to attend university in the United States: The Hale Scholars Program


Hale Education Group’s mission is to guide and empower students seeking to realize their maximum personal, academic, and professional potential through the pursuit of American higher education. We are the leading independent educational consulting firm in the Middle East and provide mentoring and admissions counseling to international students seeking admission to the full spectrum of US universities and colleges. We provide intensive one-on-one counseling and guidance to students in every aspect of US college admissions, based on the philosophy of finding the right “fit.” 


Hale Education Group employs an entire team of American university professionals with relevant firsthand admissions experience, education, and knowledge. Our admissions counseling model is highly personalized, as all of our sessions are conducted one-on-one with students. We are defined by our collaboration with parents and students, as well as our innovative use of technology. Our team is composed of highly qualified admissions experts with advanced degrees from top American universities.

Over the past three admissions cycles:

About the Hale Scholars Program

The Hale Scholars Program will provide college admissions counseling and standardized test prep services (SAT and ACT) to high performing students wishing to study at a top US university. Hale Education Group will be instrumental in helping students reach their full potential by mentoring select students on the path to achieving their personal and professional ambitions through higher education. The first step on this journey is securing acceptance and full scholarship to a top four-year undergraduate program in the US. 

Students selected as Hale Scholars will receive, free of charge, Hale’s comprehensive college guidance services, including:

  • Pre-College Preparation   Guidance on extracurricular activities, pre-college coursework, summer internships, and academic programs 
  • Access to Hale Online Portal   Streamlined university research and application progress tracking 
  • Balanced College List Development   Holistic research, analysis, and strategy based on student needs and goals
  • Comprehensive Application Strategy   Student Assessment, Early Decision/Early Action determinations, deadline timeline, and application review 
  • Testing Strategy   Determination of SAT, SAT II, ACT, TOEFL, and/or IELTS scheduling and any necessary preparation resources 
  • Standardized Testing Preparation   Unlimited Group SAT or ACT Courses
  • Personal Statement/Essay   Insightful and strategic brainstorming and editing of application essays and writing supplements 
  • Letters of Recommendation   Guidance on recommender selection and letters 
  • Activities List/Brag Sheet   Organized compilation of all activities, honors, and community service 
  • Interview Preparation   Comprehensive mock interviews from seasoned alumni interviewers 
  • Admission Letter and Financial Aid   Holistic review of each admission and merit aid offer to determine the best fit 
  • Scholarship Search   Guidance on securing outside funding sources, including merit aid 
  • Student Visa Application/Interview   Hands-on assistance with F-1 Visa paperwork and preparation for visa interview 

Eligibility and Desired Student Profile

The student must have

  • An exceptional High School Academic Record
  • English proficiency which will be determined through any of the following:
    • TOEFL iBT score of 100 or higher
    • IELTS Overall Band Score of 7.5 or higher
    • SAT or ACT score
    • Four years of attendance in a school where English is the primary language of instruction
  • Graduating from high school in 2020/2021
  • Eligibility for need-based aid at top US universities (based on annual family income)


The student must show

  • A demonstrated community or school engagement and leadership 
  • A commitment to academics and advanced learning 
  • Academic ranking in the top 5% of high school class 
  • Ability to overcome adverse or extraordinarily challenging circumstances 
  • Ability to communicate both a passion for their goals and a vision for their future

  • Complete high school transcripts (including exam results and grade reports) 
  • TOEFL or IELTS, scores (if available) 
  • ACT/PSAT/SAT scores (if available) 
  • A 500-word essay that addresses the following question: 
Why should you be selected as a Hale Scholar and how will you use the opportunity to improve yourself and your community? What do you want to study in university and why? Feel free to discuss your achievements, academic and extracurricular pursuits, need sensitivity and any other factors you would like to bring to the selection committee’s attention.
